Our Client, a Business Manufacturing and Supply company, is looking for a Prod Planning Planner II for their Hickory, NC/ Newton, MA/ Trivium, NJ location.
Responsibilities:
- Use strong system skills, analytical abilities, and business knowledge to examine the effectiveness of manufacturing and Supply Chain operations and to communicate conclusions. Determine scope of improvement projects; initiate and lead improvement projects as necessary. Develop reports and analysis for continuous improvement.
- Lead new system implementation projects and initiatives within the Supply Chain department.
- Support packaging and warehouse activities, including process improvements in shipping and receiving, optimizing warehouse storage solutions, and improving packaging efficiencies.
- Create, modify, improve, and support business reports and queries for Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and other functional groups.
- Ensure work is performed safely and maintain a safe work environment. Take responsibility for personal safety and observe safe work practices, proactively reporting unsafe conditions.
- Analyze internal and external processes (benchmarking) to maximize efficiency of functions and systems.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma.
- Proven analytical and project management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Solid problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to multi-task, effectively prioritize, and manage projects and daily responsibilities.
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact across all functions and organizational levels.
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel and Access).
- 2-5 years of experience in supply chain; degree in supply chain or APICS certification preferred.
- Experience, training, or certification in Lean and/or Six Sigma/Performance Excellence; Green Belt certification preferred.
- Understanding of Cable Products, Materials, and Manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems; SAP experience preferred.
- Ability to work autonomously and in teams.
