Job description

Our Client, a Business Manufacturing and Supply company, is looking for a Prod Planning Planner II for their Hickory, NC/ Newton, MA/ Trivium, NJ location.

Responsibilities:
  1. Use strong system skills, analytical abilities, and business knowledge to examine the effectiveness of manufacturing and Supply Chain operations and to communicate conclusions. Determine scope of improvement projects; initiate and lead improvement projects as necessary. Develop reports and analysis for continuous improvement.
  2. Lead new system implementation projects and initiatives within the Supply Chain department.
  3. Support packaging and warehouse activities, including process improvements in shipping and receiving, optimizing warehouse storage solutions, and improving packaging efficiencies.
  4. Create, modify, improve, and support business reports and queries for Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and other functional groups.
  5. Ensure work is performed safely and maintain a safe work environment. Take responsibility for personal safety and observe safe work practices, proactively reporting unsafe conditions.
  6. Analyze internal and external processes (benchmarking) to maximize efficiency of functions and systems.
Requirements:
  1. High School Diploma.
  2. Proven analytical and project management skills.
  3. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  4. Solid problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  5. Ability to multi-task, effectively prioritize, and manage projects and daily responsibilities.
  6. Strong interpersonal skills to interact across all functions and organizational levels.
  7. Self-motivated with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel and Access).
  9. 2-5 years of experience in supply chain; degree in supply chain or APICS certification preferred.
  10. Experience, training, or certification in Lean and/or Six Sigma/Performance Excellence; Green Belt certification preferred.
  11. Understanding of Cable Products, Materials, and Manufacturing processes.
  12. Knowledge of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems; SAP experience preferred.
  13. Ability to work autonomously and in teams.
  14. Champions change and embraces flexibility.
  15. Demonstrates drive and commitment across the organization.
  16. Effective communication skills at all organizational levels.
  17. Strong organizational and time management skills.
  18. Leadership ability and capacity to influence others in a matrix organization.
