Zekai is seeking a Procurement & Vendor Management Expert for a 100% remote contractor role. You will design multi-step procurement tasks with objective grading criteria, based on real-world supplier assessment, bids, and risk analyses. Strong domain knowledge matters; AI experience is a plus but not required.

You will create reference materials, ensure tasks are defensible to reviewers, and deliver high-quality benchmark content on schedule. Excellent English skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on experience in procurement, sourcing, supplier assessment, or vendor management.
• Experience creating or applying structured evaluation standards: supplier scorecards, weighted bid criteria, vendor risk frameworks, or category strategies.
• Comfortable working across contracts, spreadsheets, and reports.
• Strong English, written and spoken (B2 minimum, C1 preferred).
• CIPS, CPSM or equivalent certification is a plus, but not required.
• AI or LLM evaluation experience is a plus, but not required.

Role Title: Procurement & Vendor Management Expert

Pay: Up to $90/hour equivalent.

Time per task: ~10 hours per task

Location: Fully remote - no geographic restrictions. Strong English required (B2 minimum, C1 preferred)

Your tasks: Design realistic, multi-step procurement and vendor management tasks with objective criteria for grading the output

our partner is engaging experienced procurement and vendor management practitioners to design the tasks that measure what AI systems can actually do. Your domain knowledge is what matters here - no prior AI experience required.

The work is to turn real procurement workflows into benchmark tasks: realistic, difficult, and gradable against objective criteria. If you've built a supplier scorecard, run a weighted bid evaluation, or written a vendor risk framework, that's exactly the instinct this needs.

Scope of Work

• Design multi-step tasks drawn from real procurement work - supplier assessment, bid comparison, vendor risk analysis, contract review - with realistic reference files and clear instructions.
• Define objective grading criteria so two qualified reviewers would reach the same verdict on the same output.
• Build tasks that require judgment rather than lookup: ones where the right answer depends on reading the materials correctly.
• Create or source the supporting materials each task needs: RFP responses, pricing schedules, contracts, SLAs, risk assessments.
• Flag tasks that turn out to be ambiguous or ungradable instead of submitting them anyway.
• Deliver approved tasks on schedule and at the required quality level.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on responsibility in procurement, sourcing, supplier assessment, or vendor management - direct ownership of the work, not supervisory-only or adjacent exposure.
• Experience creating or applying structured evaluation standards: supplier scorecards, weighted bid criteria, vendor risk frameworks, or category strategies.
• Comfortable working across contracts, spreadsheets, and reports at the same time.
• CIPS, CPSM or equivalent certification is a plus, but not required.
• Strong English, written and spoken - B2 minimum, C1 preferred.
• AI or LLM evaluation experience is a plus, but not required.
