Job summary

Columbus Technical College is seeking a full-time Purchasing Technician to join the Fiscal Operations department in Columbus, Georgia. You will review purchase requisitions, create purchase orders, and support procurement in line with Georgia policies and applicable laws.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma and three years of related work experience. Certification such as GCPA and GCPCA is required within six months.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Three years of related work experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint).
• Experience using Workday or any other ERP system.
• Georgia procurement certifications within six months (GCPA, GCPCA).

Responsibilities

• Ensures prompt, efficient service is provided in procurement of services, supplies, and equipment.
• Receives and reviews purchase requisitions from departments.
• Creates and issues purchase orders.
• Supports CTC’s Purchasing Card Program in compliance with policies.
• Maintains procurement records and documentation.
• Facilitates new vendor setup with SAO.
• Assists with asset management.
• Creates purchasing reports.
• Performs other purchasing and administrative duties as assigned.
