Job summary

Builders FirstSource, Inc. invites students to join our Supply Chain / Procurement Internship in Irving, Texas. You will support sourcing, purchasing, supplier management and operations, gaining hands-on experience with cross-functional teams to improve processes and drive cost savings.

You’ll analyze spend, assist with PO and contract admin, maintain records, and contribute to process improvements while building your professional network and skillset.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Preferred GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Preferred junior or senior level but will consider other class levels.

Responsibilities

• Assist with procurement and sourcing activities, including supplier research and quote comparisons.
• Support purchase order and contract administration processes.
• Analyze spend, supplier, and inventory data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Maintain procurement records, reports, and supplier documentation.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and support purchasing needs.
• Participate in supply chain and procurement projects focused on process improvement and cost optimization.
• Prepare presentations, reports, and recommendations for leadership review.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
