General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (OTS) is seeking a Procurement Senior Manager in Saint Petersburg, FL to negotiate favorable terms, drive long-term contracts, and process requisitions and purchase orders for internal and customer-related needs.

The role requires deep expertise in procurement disciplines, strategic supplier management, and ability to lead functional teams or projects with independent judgment.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree and 8-10 years' experience or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Bachelor's Degree preferred in Business, Supply Chain Management or related field.

Responsibilities

• Oversees procurement and purchasing operations and drives strategy to provide materials and services to meet organizational requirements for quality, volume, availability, and pricing.
• Cultivates strategic supplier relationships, negotiates contracts, and monitors performance and disruptions.
• Collaborates with other functions to define current and future inventory requirements and manage inventory levels.
• Implements processes and systems and uses data analytic tools to increase responsiveness to material demands.
• Evaluates proposals/quotes on quality, cost, and other criteria to select suppliers.
• Drives compliance for all procurement activities with internal policies and external regulations.

Job Summary

Negotiates favorable terms, volume discounts and long-term contracts with suppliers and prepares and processes requisitions and purchase orders for the procurement of goods, services and supplies for customer-related business processes or for internal use as a generalist or in a combination of Purchasing Disciplines

Essential Functions

• Oversees procurement and purchasing operations and drives strategy to provide the materials and services to meet organizational requirements for quality, volume, availability, and pricing.
• Cultivates strategic supplier relationships, negotiates contracts, and implements systems for monitoring performance, assessing risk, and responding to changes in demand or disruptions in the supply chain.
• Collaborates with other functions to define current and future inventory requirements and manage inventory levels.
• Implements processes and systems and utilizes technical tools to analyze data and increase responsiveness to material demands.
• Evaluates proposals/quotes based on offering quality, cost, or other criteria and recommends suppliers that are best suited to meet the organization's requirements.
• Drives compliance for all procurement activities with internal policies and external regulations.

Required Qualifications

• Required education and experience: Associate's Degree and 8-10 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
• Critical professional related technical skills; computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications

• Preferred education and experience: Bachelor's Degree
• Discipline/Major: Business, Supply Chain Management or related degree
• Knowledge, skills & abilities: Leadership skills. Decision-making skills. Oral and written communication skills. Analytical thinking skills. Detail oriented. Ability to meet deadlines.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
• Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
