Job summary

SLB is seeking a highly organized Procurement Specialist to join our team in Coraopolis, PA. You will process purchase requests, create and verify purchase orders, and coordinate with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure timely procurement of materials and services.

The ideal candidate has 5–10 years of procurement experience, strong negotiation and ERP skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating across teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or related field preferred.
• 5–10 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, sourcing, or supply chain operations.
• Experience negotiating with suppliers and supporting supplier relationship management.
• Working knowledge of ERP systems and procurement platforms such as Ariba, SAP, ASL, QUEST, or similar tools.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and shifting deadlines.
• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Process purchase requests and create purchase orders per procurement procedures.
• Guide internal stakeholders in defining purchasing requirements and selecting buying channels.
• Evaluate sourcing options and coordinate with suppliers to support purchasing needs.
• Verify PO accuracy (quantities, pricing, business unit, currencies).
• Dispatch purchase orders and follow up on order-related issues for timely execution.
• Collaborate with Spot Buyers, Field Procurement Specialists, suppliers, and P2P teams to resolve issues.
• Identify deviations, escalate complex issues, and support procurement compliance.
• Maintain procurement documentation and contribute to continuous improvement.
