Job summary

Cheney Brothers, Inc. is seeking a procurement-focused professional in the United States to coordinate and identify suppliers, negotiate terms, and establish long-term contracts for Foodservice Distribution at competitive prices.

The role supports in-stock product availability and assists with special orders within a team setting. Responsibilities include selecting vendors, maintaining supplier relationships, negotiating prices and long-term contracts, and providing pricing guidance to the sales

Qualifications

• Purchasing or related experience.
• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience.
• 0-6 months related experience.

Responsibilities

• Select vendors based on ability to provide a continuous supply of product and overall service level.
• Maintain relationships with vendors and resolve invoicing, product, or delivery issues.
• Select product based on market needs, performance, and vendor reputation.
• Negotiate prices and quantities considering customer orders, volume discounts, and warehousing space.
• Negotiate long-term contracts to ensure continuous supply.
• Support distribution centers for emergencies with timely product delivery.
• Provide product and pricing information to sales and advise on pricing structure.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Complies with all policies and standards.
