Job summary

Republic Electric Co. is hiring a Buyer at our Davenport, IA location to support purchasing across multiple branches. The role requires entering POs, tracking orders, managing inventory discrepancies, and collaborating with suppliers to optimize cost and delivery.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in purchasing or supply chain, strong Excel and ERP experience, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced distribution environment. This is a full-time, Monday–Friday position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 1–3 years of purchasing, supply chain, or related experience.
• Experience in distribution or related industry preferred.
• ERP experience is a plus.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.
• Strong multitasking and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Use ERP system Cloud Suite Distribution to perform purchasing tasks.
• Place purchase orders based on usage, system requirements, inventory levels, feedback.
• Perform data analysis on new and slow-moving products and data integrity.
• Prepare cost changes, price increases, and product files for ERP upload.
• Monitor and process PO acknowledgements, confirmations, and shipment details; follow up on open POs.
• Monitor and transfer necessary product needs among all 10 locations.
• Participate in vendor negotiations on pricing, freight minimums, and other procurement-related items.
• Reconcile inventory cycle counts and review discrepancies.
• Schedule delivery of products from vendors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
