Job summary

Zobility is seeking a Procurement Specialist for a 6-month contract (remote) to support Aerospace & Defense programs. The role involves handling complex orders and subcontracts for materials, software, and services across domestic and international contracts, including DoD, FAA AMS, and FMS.

Strong negotiation and supplier-management skills are essential. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with FAR/DFAR, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and leading bid activities, price

Qualifications

  • Required strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with price analyses and supplier assessments is preferred.
  • Ability to prioritize compliance to policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Execute and manage complex IOTs, POs, and Subcontracts for materials, software, and services.
  • Ensure compliance with FAR, DFAR, FAA AMS, and other requirements from R&D through production and closeout.
  • Collaborate with IPTs including Program Management, Quality, Finance, Contracts, Global Trade and Legal.
  • Identify and manage supplier relationships focusing on quality, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
  • Lead bid/proposal activities, PIAs/NDAs, and Teaming Agreements for new business.
  • Review development of Subcontract Statements of Work (SSOW).
  • Perform price analyses and due diligence, assess supplier risk, and develop contingency plans.
  • Lead negotiations on price, schedule, and terms/conditions.
  • Monitor supplier performance against KPIs to drive continuous improvement and contract compliance.

Job Description:
  • Execute and manage complex, high-visibility and high-value IOTs, POs, and Subcontracts for materials, software, and services in support of domestic and international commercial, DoD, FAA, and FMS contracts
  • Ensure strict compliance with Government (FAR, DFAR, AMS), Customer and company requirements from R&D through low-rate initial production, production/deployment, sustainment, and program closeout
  • Collaborate cross-functionally across Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) including Program Management, Quality, Finance, Contracts, Global Trade and Legal
  • Identify, evaluate, manage, and maintain strong strategic relationships with suppliers, focusing on quality, reliability, and cost-efficiency
  • Execute bid/proposal activities, PIAs/NDAs, and Teaming Agreements for new business and strategic pursuits
  • Review and assist in the development of Subcontract Statements of Work (SSOW)
  • Perform in-depth price analyses, conduct due diligence/comprehensive supplier assessments, proactively identify risks & opportunities including material shortages or supplier instability, and develop contingency plans
  • Lead negotiations (price, schedule, terms/conditions)
  • Manage supplier performance (cost, schedule and quality) against key performance indicators to drive continuous improvement and ensure compliance with contractual obligations
  • Support PO/Subcontract related invoice approvals, inquiries, and issues
  • Meticulously reviews, interprets, and implements company policies, procedures, process instructions, and operational workflows with a high level of accuracy.
Requirements:
  • Prior experience with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Preferred:
  • Experience in a similar contracts/procurement role with responsibility for sourcing, placing orders, price analysis, negotiations, PO documentation, supplier management, and compliance to company policies and procedures
  • Experience with FAR, DFAR, and FAA AMS
  • Experience with international requirements (including Import/Export regulations)
  • Experience working with and leading cross-functional teams
  • Experience with Statements of Work
  • Experience with SAP
  • Ability to prioritize compliance to policies and procedures
  • Strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment with little oversight

Education:
  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
