Job summary

Actalent in Scottsdale, AZ is hiring a Procurement / Strategic Sourcing Specialist to support sourcing and supply chain initiatives within a medical device environment. You will work directly with suppliers, analyze bids and quotations, and negotiate commercial terms.

You’ll collaborate with engineering, quality, regulatory, and leadership to identify cost-saving opportunities, manage RFQs/RFPs, and track KPIs, milestones, and supplier performance, ensuring continuity of supply and project

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent education/experience.
• Experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or related project work.
• RFQ/RFP and supplier quote-analysis experience.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, project-management, and communication capabilities.

Responsibilities

This position is ideal for a procurement professional who is comfortable working directly with suppliers, analyzing bids and quotations, negotiating commercial terms, and collaborating with engineering and quality teams.

Key responsibilities:

• Source mechanical and electrical component suppliers.
• Manage and analyze RFQs, RFPs, bids, and supplier quotations.
• Negotiate supplier pricing and support vendor selection and onboarding.
• Identify cost-saving, tariff-mitigation, and second-source opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Operations, Finance, or a related discipline, or equivalent education/experience.
• Experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, engineering, supply chain, or related project work.
• RFQ/RFP and supplier quote-analysis experience.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, project-management, and communication capabilities.
• Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Microsoft Project.
• Medical device or other regulated manufacturing experience is preferred
