Job summary

Hitachi Energy USA Inc. is seeking a Procurement Specialist in Jefferson City, Missouri, to drive strategic sourcing, supplier partnerships, and people leadership within our manufacturing operations.

This role focuses on ensuring material availability, supplier performance, and cost competitiveness across the supply chain. You will lead procurement activities, work with SAP for purchasing and reporting, and guide a small team while collaborating with production, engineering, quality, and supply

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years of procurement, purchasing, or supply chain experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience using SAP to manage procurement and purchasing processes.
• Previous leadership experience with direct responsibility for 2-3 or more team members.
• Strong negotiation, supplier management, and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
