Emergent Professional Resources L.P. (EPR) is seeking a Procurement Specialist to support our modular design client in Houston. The role collaborates with Design, Estimating, Production, and Receiving to ensure timely, cost-effective material delivery.

You will help improve procurement processes, build strong vendor relationships, and bring more structure and efficiency to a growing operation. Experience in construction/manufacturing is valued.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of procurement, purchasing, or supply chain experience.
• Experience in construction, manufacturing, or a related industry.
• Strong organization and attention to detail; comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage purchasing for active construction projects, the shop, and office.
• Build and maintain strong vendor relationships and negotiate pricing.
• Coordinate procurement needs with Estimating and Production.
• Track materials, deliveries, costs, and purchasing forecasts.
• Improve purchasing processes, SOPs, and workflows.
• Review BOMs and construction drawings to ensure accurate purchasing.
• Oversee and coach the Receiving team.
• Manage vendor returns, refunds, and inventory replenishment.
• Identify opportunities to make procurement smarter, faster, and more cost-effective.
