Job summary

ZT Systems is seeking a Platform Procurement Program Manager based in Secaucus, NJ to lead end-to-end supply-demand optimization and serve as a key contributor to purchasing strategy. You will manage PCBA and electronic component procurement, coordinate with planning, engineering, and manufacturing, and drive supplier performance and cost negotiations.

The role emphasizes strong collaboration, data-driven decision making, and ensuring timely, compliant procurement aligned with production needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Operations, or related field.
• 3+ years of purchasing/procurement experience in electronics, PCBA, servers, networking equipment, or related manufacturing.
• Understanding of PCBAs, electronic components, BOMs, and electronics manufacturing processes.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and purchasing workflows.
• Ability to manage multiple suppliers, priorities, and production requirements simultaneously.
• Strong communication skills and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Manage procurement of server PCBA, electronic components, and related materials from qualified suppliers.
• Issue and manage purchase orders, including pricing, quantities, delivery dates, and terms.
• Monitor supplier commitments and address shortages, delays, and supply constraints.
• Coordinate with Material Planning, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality to align purchasing with production.
• Review MRP/ERP requirements and convert demand into timely purchase orders.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels while minimizing excess and obsolete materials.
• Support supplier selection, qualification, cost negotiations, and performance management.
• Negotiate lead times, MOQ, payment terms, and other commercial conditions.
• Track PCBA component availability and identify long-lead-time/allocation risks.
• Coordinate engineering changes, BOM updates, and substitutions with suppliers and internal teams.
• Ensure purchased materials meet specifications, quality, and approved vendor lists.
• Assist resolution of supplier quality issues, material discrepancies, and delivery problems.
• Develop and maintain supplier relationships and participate in performance reviews.
• Analyze purchasing data, including cost, lead time, supplier performance, and delivery metrics.
• Maintain purchasing records and ensure compliance with procurement policies.

About the Role

We are currently seeking a Platform Procurement Program Manager to be based out of our Secaucus, NJ office. The Platform Procurement Program Manager is an individual contributor who will be responsible for end-to-end supply-demand optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage procurement of server PCBAs, electronic components, and related materials from qualified suppliers.

• Experience working with ERP/MRP systems and purchasing workflows.


• Ability to manage multiple suppliers, priorities, and production requirements simultaneously.


• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.

Compensation

ZT Systems assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package is created for all our employees. The typical base salary for this position is expected to be between $82,500 and $110,000 annually. If hired, the final base salary will be determined on an individual basis taking into consideration experience, skills, knowledge, education and/or certifications. Base salary is just one component of ZT Systems total rewards philosophy.
