Job Summary

This position combines procurement and product compliance responsibilities. The procurement aspect involves purchasing high-quality materials at the lowest cost while ensuring supply chain continuity. Key functions include data collection, product quality assessment, spend analysis, RFP assistance, vendor performance monitoring, pricing management, and documenting cost savings. The product compliance aspect involves ensuring all products are properly registered across states and fees are paid timely. Responsibilities include submitting reports, renewing registrations, collaborating on new product development, and maintaining registration records. Some travel may be required.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Analyze monthly spend data to identify savings opportunities.
  2. Evaluate product quality and performance.
  3. Review national program spend and track facility participation.
  4. Prepare and send RFP documents to vendors.
  5. Analyze RFP data, calculate savings, and prepare leadership reports.
  6. Maintain organized pricing files.
  7. Gather manufacturing site information for procurement initiatives.
  8. Develop tools to improve efficiency.
  9. Participate in team meetings and report project savings.
  10. Maintain project pipeline for future savings.
  11. Stay updated on procurement projects and initiatives.
  12. Become a subject matter expert on fertilizer, soil amendments, and liming registration requirements.
  13. Monitor regulatory changes and provide feedback on market opportunities and threats.
  14. Ensure timely registration and renewal of products across states.
  15. Identify obsolete items for cancellation to reduce costs.
  16. Register new items promptly as directed.
  17. Familiarize with products, customers, and distribution channels.
  18. Collaborate on product claims and development with marketing and technical teams.
  19. Work with demand planning to ensure new items are registered.
  20. Submit required tonnage reports on time.
  21. Maintain registration records and renewal schedules.
  22. Build relationships with state officials for registration processes.
  23. Report registration issues or delays promptly.
  24. Perform other related duties as needed.
