Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Procurement Operations Leader, Buy Desk to own the end-to-end purchase requisition and PO lifecycle. You will ensure accurate setup, proper approvals, and policy compliance while driving standardization and automation across procure-to-pay workflows.

The role partners with business requestors, strategic sourcing, AP, and suppliers to maintain efficient, compliant, and scalable operations. A focus on data integrity and continuous improvement is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in procurement operations, purchasing, or procure-to-pay.
• Experience reviewing, processing, and managing high-volume purchase requisitions and purchase orders.
• Strong understanding of PO lifecycle, approval workflows, and delegation of authority frameworks.
• Experience validating supporting procurement documentation such as statements of work, order forms, contracts, and quotes.
• Hands-on proficiency with ERP or e-procurement platforms (Coupa, Ariba, SAP, Oracle, or similar).
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field.
• Exceptional attention to detail with a process-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end PO lifecycle from creation to closure with accuracy and speed.
• Review requisitions for alignment with scope, pricing, and budgets.
• Collaborate with Accounts Payable and suppliers to resolve discrepancies.
• Support post-contract activities, including metadata management and document repository maintenance.
• Drive process improvements and automation across the procure-to-pay workflow.
• Track key metrics and ensure audit-ready procurement records.
