Job summary

Compunnel Inc. is seeking an experienced Category Manager – Site Services to oversee procurement and supplier relationships for on-site services supporting manufacturing and production facilities. You will manage the Americas spend and develop sourcing strategies that deliver cost savings and operational efficiencies.

The role requires collaboration with internal stakeholders, negotiation with vendors, and leadership of a Sourcing Specialist, focusing on Quality, Service, Technology, and Value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics or Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in Procurement or Category Management, including On-Site Services.
• Experience with Procurement e-Sourcing tools.
• Strong knowledge of the Source-to-Contract Procurement process.
• Experience working with senior leaders in a global, matrixed organization.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to manage complex supplier relationships.

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Category Manager – Site Services to manage procurement and supplier relationships for on-site services supporting manufacturing and production facilities.

The role will be responsible for managing approximately $68M in site services spend across the Americas and developing sourcing strategies that deliver cost savings, supplier performance improvements, and operational efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage approximately $68M in Site Services spend across the Americas.
• Report to the Director, Indirect & Logistics Procurement Americas.
• Negotiate with and manage vendors providing on-site services, including:
• Gardening and landscaping
• Piping services
• Canteen/food services
• Other facility and manufacturing site services
• Develop and execute category and sourcing strategies based on current and future business needs.
• Manage and continuously improve the supplier base to ensure optimal Quality, Service, Technology, and Value (QSTV).
• Identify, evaluate, and qualify alternate or second-source suppliers.
• Functionally supervise a Sourcing Specialist supporting the category strategy.
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, Business Units, Operations, Technology, and other functional teams.
• Lead global sourcing and procurement projects across cross-functional teams.
• Deliver cost savings, cost avoidance, productivity improvements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Negotiate and implement supplier agreements with favorable commercial terms.
• Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with key suppliers.
• Monitor supplier performance, identify performance gaps, and implement corrective action plans.
• Develop and maintain a pipeline of cost-saving and productivity initiatives to support annual business goals.
• Identify and execute Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) improvement opportunities.
• Address supplier performance issues through root cause analysis, corrective actions, and claims management.
• Create and maintain effective e-Sourcing events and catalogs to improve procurement productivity.
• Monitor and resolve issues within the purchasing and buy-channel process to improve procurement compliance and actively managed spend.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics or Engineering.
• Additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• 5+ years of experience in Procurement or Category Management, including experience managing On-Site Services.
• Experience with Procurement e-Sourcing tools.
• Strong knowledge of the Source-to-Contract Procurement process.
• Experience working with senior-level leaders and stakeholders in a global, matrixed organization.
• Strong internal and external negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage complex supplier relationships and commercial agreements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading diverse, cross-functional, and multi-functional teams.
• Experience with SAP Ariba
