Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Category Manager – Site Services to manage procurement and supplier relationships for on-site services supporting manufacturing and production facilities.
The role will be responsible for managing approximately $68M in site services spend across the Americas and developing sourcing strategies that deliver cost savings, supplier performance improvements, and operational efficiencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage approximately $68M in Site Services spend across the Americas.
- Report to the Director, Indirect & Logistics Procurement Americas.
- Negotiate with and manage vendors providing on-site services, including:
- Gardening and landscaping
- Piping services
- Canteen/food services
- Other facility and manufacturing site services
- Develop and execute category and sourcing strategies based on current and future business needs.
- Manage and continuously improve the supplier base to ensure optimal Quality, Service, Technology, and Value (QSTV).
- Identify, evaluate, and qualify alternate or second-source suppliers.
- Functionally supervise a Sourcing Specialist supporting the category strategy.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, Business Units, Operations, Technology, and other functional teams.
- Lead global sourcing and procurement projects across cross-functional teams.
- Deliver cost savings, cost avoidance, productivity improvements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Negotiate and implement supplier agreements with favorable commercial terms.
- Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with key suppliers.
- Monitor supplier performance, identify performance gaps, and implement corrective action plans.
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of cost-saving and productivity initiatives to support annual business goals.
- Identify and execute Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) improvement opportunities.
- Address supplier performance issues through root cause analysis, corrective actions, and claims management.
- Create and maintain effective e-Sourcing events and catalogs to improve procurement productivity.
- Monitor and resolve issues within the purchasing and buy-channel process to improve procurement compliance and actively managed spend.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics or Engineering.
- Additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- 5+ years of experience in Procurement or Category Management, including experience managing On-Site Services.
- Experience with Procurement e-Sourcing tools.
- Strong knowledge of the Source-to-Contract Procurement process.
- Experience working with senior-level leaders and stakeholders in a global, matrixed organization.
- Strong internal and external negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage complex supplier relationships and commercial agreements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading diverse, cross-functional, and multi-functional teams.
- Experience with SAP Ariba
