Job Description:

The Procurement Manager will report to the Vice President, Procurement Officer, and will act as the de facto head of day-to-day procurement for a rapidly expanding outpatient rehabilitation network. The role combines hands-on category leadership with process design and stakeholder enablement. You will steward all indirect and Physical Therapy supply spend, drive measurable savings, and lay the infrastructure for a scalable, value-adding function.

This position allows for remote work and may require some travel for business meetings. Our corporate office is based in White Plains, NY.

Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Category Management & Sourcing: Lead sourcing strategies across clinical supplies, facilities, IT/SaaS, marketing, and professional services; negotiate commercial terms, service levels, and risk provisions.
  2. Strategy & Governance: Finalize and execute a multi-year category roadmap; design policies, procedures, and delegated-authority matrices; ensure compliance with PE ownership requirements and healthcare regulations.
  3. Analytics & Performance Reporting: Build and maintain a consolidated spend cube; track savings, cost-avoidance, and working-capital improvements; prepare monthly dashboards for Finance.
  4. Supplier Relationship Management: Establish KPI scorecards and quarterly business reviews for high-impact suppliers; champion supplier-diversity and sustainability objectives.
  5. Governance: Manage Procurement Governance process by drafting ROI and Business Case documents and running monthly meetings and processes.
  6. Process & Technology Enablement: Partner with the field to deploy and optimize P2P tools; implement AI-driven buying and catalogs.
  7. Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as trusted adviser to Clinic Directors, Finance, Legal, and executive leadership; communicate value in accessible, data-driven language.

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Economics, Engineering, MIS, or related field
  2. 5–15 years of strategic sourcing or procurement, ideally in multi-site healthcare, life-sciences, retail, or other fast-growth environments.
  3. Fluent in competitive RFx, contract drafting, TCO modelling, and supplier-risk assessment; comfortable with Excel/BI dashboards and modern P2P suites. AI exposure and curiosity highly desired.
  4. Builder-mindset, capable of creating structure in a fluid setting; credible change agent with strong executive presence and stakeholder diplomacy.
