Responsabilidades

• Develop and execute category strategies that optimize cost, supply continuity, working capital, and operational performance.
• Build and manage strategic supplier relationships, including supplier performance, risk assessment, and compliance.
• Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives, procurement standardization, and opportunities to leverage purchasing volumes across multiple sites.
• Use data analytics, market intelligence, automation, and emerging technologies to improve procurement processes and decision-making.
• Develop strategies to mitigate supply-chain risk, including supplier diversification, inventory planning, and supply continuity measures.
• Oversee contract governance, pricing structures, vendor data, procurement controls, and delegated-authority requirements.
• Partner with Finance, Treasury, Accounts Payable, and operational teams to support cash-flow management and vendor-payment planning.
• Lead, mentor, and develop procurement and sourcing team members while fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
• Own and improve Source-to-Contract (S2C) and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes.
• Monitor procurement performance and communicate cost-saving opportunities, supplier risks, market developments, and strategic initiatives to senior leadership.

Hire Agency is seeking a Procurement Manager to lead strategic sourcing, supplier relationships, commercial negotiations, and procurement operations for an established heavy-industry organization in the Salt Lake City, Utah area. Job Summary

The Procurement Manager will lead the organization’s procurement strategy and operations, with responsibility for strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, commercial negotiations, contract governance, and procurement process improvement.

The role focuses on ensuring supply continuity, managing commercial and supply-chain risks, optimizing working capital, and identifying sustainable cost-saving opportunities. The Procurement Manager will collaborate closely with Finance, Operations, and senior leadership to improve procurement effectiveness and support overall business performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead strategic sourcing, commercial negotiations, and contract management for critical goods and services
• Develop and execute category strategies that optimize cost, supply continuity, working capital, and operational performance

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership capabilities, sound judgment, and the ability to manage commercial, operational, and supply‑chain risk

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related discipline
• Understanding of procurement analytics, automation, artificial intelligence, and technology‑enabled process improvement
• Procurement experience in mining, energy, manufacturing, construction, or another comparable heavy‑industry environment

Location and Travel

This role is based in the Salt Lake City, Utah area and requires regular travel to operational sites, with occasional domestic travel to supplier facilities, industry events, and trade shows.
