Job summary

PureGym US is expanding its procurement function in the US, located in New York. The Procurement Manager will lead sourcing, contract negotiations and supplier management across global partners, ensuring cost effectiveness and compliance.

The role requires collaboration with IT, Operations, Finance and HR to deliver KPI-driven outcomes. Based in New York, you will travel internationally and support multiple regions as part of a dynamic team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in procurement with sourcing/RFP led and cost-savings impact.
• Strong planning, project management and stakeholder partnering.
• Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Data analytics and proficiency with business tools (MS Office, PM software).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business and financial objectives.
• Lead RFIs, RFPs, benchmarking, contract renewals, and direct supplier negotiations.
• Manage end-to-end procurement processes from init to supplier mobilization.

Details

Location: New York/New Jersey. 2-3 days a week at our Manhattan office. Requirement for international travel in Europe 3-4 times a year.

Contract type: Permanent and full-time

Salary: $100-125k

The role

The Procurement Function consists of approximately 19 colleagues across the UK, US and Denmark encompassing 3 sub-teams – Sourcing, Contracts & Governance, and Special Projects. While each team has their own specific responsibilities, the team works together in a highly collaborative environment to support the delivery of joint objectives. The Procurement Manager will sit within the Sourcing sub-team reporting directly in the US Sr. Procurement Manager, working alongside 8 other Procurement Managers and Procurement Officers.

The Procurement Manager is responsible for sourcing goods and services, negotiating contracts, managing supplier performance, and ensuring cost-effective procurement while maintaining quality, compliance, and operational efficiency. Key responsibilities include:

• Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with business/financial objectives.


• Lead multiple, simultaneous sourcing activities including but not limited to RFIs, RFPs, benchmarking activities, contract renewals and direct supplier negotiations. This includes
  
  
  
  • Facilitating / project managing the end-to-end process from project initiation to supplier mobilization.
  
  
  • Working with stakeholders to identify and define requirements.
  
  
  • Reviewing the market to identify potential suppliers and solutions.
  
  
  • Negotiating commercial terms with suppliers.
  
  
  • Working closely with Contract Managers to support legal negotiations.
  
  
  • Working closely with Procurement Governance Manager to support the due diligence / supplier vetting process.
  
  
  • Working with senior stakeholders to obtain sign off and approvals.
  
  
  • Supporting stakeholders to mobilize contracts / suppliers effectively.
  
  
  
  


• Provide support to business stakeholders during supplier management activities, actively contributing to supplier performance reviews and quarterly business review meetings.


• Be the point of escalation for contractual and supplier performance issues.


• Provide support and sound commercial advice to stakeholders on all procurement matters.


• Develop strong and credible relationships with stakeholders across multiple functions including IT, Operations, Facilities, Property, Finance, Human Resources and Marketing


• Ensure stakeholders are aware of and adhere to the Procurement policies / standards.


• Identify areas of opportunity – in the form of cost reduction, service improvement and risk mitigation, and work with stakeholders to identify a plan for delivery.


• Support the development of the Procurement team's strategy and plan.


• Actively contribute to ensure the team meet all Procurement KPIs – including financial savings / benefits, contract compliance, sourcing compliance etc.


• Manage indirect and direct spend, including capital expenditure from time to time.

Qualifications & Skills

5+ years in a procurement role with experience leading sourcing / RFP processes, including complex negotiations, generating cost savings and commercial impact.
