Job description

Yamaha has an excellent opportunity for a Procurement Manager to join our team in Kennesaw, GA. You will lead sourcing, procurement operations, and supplier performance management to support a diverse power sports product portfolio. This role is accountable for securing a reliable, cost-effective, and quality-focused supply base that meets the needs of dealers and end customers. In a high‑mix, variable‑demand environment, you will drive supplier strategy, negotiate critical contracts, and oversee supply planning to optimize service levels and inventory while minimizing risk and total cost of ownership. The position plays a pivotal role in aligning procurement execution with broader business objectives, ensuring operational continuity, cross‑functional collaboration, and the long‑term strength of the supply chain.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high‑performing team of service parts & accessories supply planners and contract administrators, ensuring strong building capability, effective workload management, and consistent execution across assigned product categories. This role fosters a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and cross‑functional collaboration to enhance planning accuracy, supplier performance, and operational excellence.
  • Oversee and facilitate the end‑to‑end onboarding of new suppliers across all Business Units, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and compliance requirements. Lead contract negotiations, manage supplier set‑up and deactivation processes, and maintain accurate, up‑to‑date supplemental documentation to support effective supplier governance and long‑term partnership performance.
  • Define, track, and continuously improve key inventory health, backorder, and customer service KPIs—including fill rate, on‑time delivery, inventory turns, obsolescence, cost savings, and cost avoidance. Leverage advanced data analysis to support executive reporting, provide insights into supply chain performance, and inform strategic decision‑making across the organization.
  • Drive sustained improvements in supplier cost, quality, and delivery performance by establishing clear expectations, conducting regular performance reviews, and leading corrective‑action initiatives. Champion continuous improvement across procurement and supply planning processes, identifying inefficiencies, implementing best practices, and strengthening cross‑functional alignment to enhance overall supply chain effectiveness.
  • Collaborate closely with S&OP and Demand Planning teams to ensure procurement strategies align with seasonal demand patterns, forecast variability, and overall business plans, enabling timely and cost‑effective replenishment. Partner with the Product Planning team to support New Product Introductions and work with Logistics and Distribution teams to optimize parts flow, network efficiency, and operational readiness across the supply chain.
  • Ensure all suppliers meet OEM quality requirements and applicable regulatory standards across every product line. Maintain strict compliance with internal procurement policies and industry guidelines, proactively identifying gaps and implementing corrective actions to safeguard product integrity, supply continuity, and organizational risk management.
What You Need To Be Successful
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree or MBA preferred.

  • 3+ years of people leadership experience, including coaching and developing supply planners, analysts, or contract administrators.
  • Proven track record of supplier negotiation, contract management, and driving measurable improvements in cost, quality, and delivery.
  • Experience supporting S&OP, Demand Planning, and New Product Introduction (NPI) processes.
  • Familiarity with OEM requirements and regulatory compliance standards.
