Three Tone Enterprise is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to build and lead our sourcing function. Reporting directly to the CEO, you'll own supplier relationships across every category we buy, from fresh produce to industrial goods, lead complex negotiations, and turn our growing volume into real leverage. Your decisions move fast and matter immediately.
This role is ideal for a seasoned procurement leader who has negotiated pricing, rebates, and volume programs at scale, understands pallet-level supply chains, and knows the precision that large retail and e-commerce customers like Amazon demand. You're a generalist who learns categories quickly and negotiates confidently across them, and you run a disciplined operation where the supplier pipeline is always current.
You'll thrive here if you enjoy building from the ground up: hiring the team, creating the playbook, and setting the standard for how we work with suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and lead a team of buyers and callers, including hiring, developing, and holding them accountable for results.
- Create the supplier communication strategy and playbook your team executes every day, including outreach cadence, call scripts, follow‑up standards, and escalation paths.
- Own supplier relationships across all categories, from fresh produce to industrial goods, serving as the senior escalation point for supplier issues.
- Lead complex negotiations on pricing, rebates, volume tiers, supply terms, and commercial agreements.
- Consolidate spend across our growing portfolio and turn combined volume into better pricing, terms, and supplier commitments.
- Ensure supply keeps pace with Amazon purchase orders, sales velocity, and forecasted demand, protecting in‑stock positions and account performance.
- Manage pallet‑level and bulk purchasing in partnership with logistics, including freight, delivery schedules, and receiving.
- Maintain a disciplined, up‑to‑date supplier pipeline in our CRM and hold the team to the same standard.
- Work cross‑functionally with operations, logistics, e‑commerce, and leadership to align purchasing with demand, replenishment, and growth plans.
- Report directly to the CEO on cost savings, supplier performance, team results, and sourcing strategy.
- Identify new supplier and product opportunities and continuously improve procurement processes.
Qualifications:
- Confident, persuasive negotiator who secures favorable terms and holds suppliers to commitments.
- Proven leader who sets clear expectations, develops people, and builds accountability into the team's daily work.
- Strategic thinker who can build systems and playbooks, not just execute them.
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate spend, cost, margin, and supplier performance data.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including comfort leading supplier conversations by phone.
- Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑moving environment.
- Proficiency with CRM platforms, spreadsheets, and common procurement and e‑commerce tools.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, strategic sourcing, or supply chain.
- Proven track record leading supplier negotiations, including pricing, rebates, volume programs, and commercial terms.
- Experience building and managing a team of buyers or purchasing staff.
- Comfortable sourcing across diverse categories. You learn quickly and negotiate confidently without being a specialist.
- CRM‑disciplined. Your supplier pipeline is always current, and you hold your team to the same standard.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to work on‑site in Katy, TX.
Preferred:
- Background in wholesale club retail (Costco, Sam's Club), e‑commerce distribution, or pallet‑level supply chain.
- Experience supporting a business where Amazon is a primary customer, including familiarity with Vendor Central, Seller Central, or FBA.
- Experience sourcing both perishable and non‑perishable goods, or heavy and bulky products.
- Existing relationships with suppliers or manufacturers in relevant categories.
