As the primary commercial owner for assigned suppliers, this role drives competitive cost, supply continuity, quality, service, favorable terms, and effective risk management throughout the supplier lifecycle. The Procurement Manager sets clear priorities and KPIs, removes execution barriers, develops team capability, and aligns purchasing activities with production, inventory, working‑capital, and customer‑service objectives. Key Responsibilities:
  • Own the commercial relationship with assigned domestic and international suppliers and serve as Camco’s primary point of accountability.
  • Lead supplier negotiations, business reviews, corrective actions, and escalations across pricing, payment terms, lead times, minimum‑order quantities, service levels, and other commercial requirements.
  • Track supplier performance against lead‑time, on‑time delivery, and in‑full fulfillment targets, enforcing commitments while fostering professional relationships that support continuity and long‑term value.
  • Develop and maintain supplier scorecards that measure quality, cost, delivery, and partnership performance.
  • Identify supply, capacity, financial, geopolitical, and single‑source risks; develop mitigation and contingency plans in cooperation with key internal stakeholders.
  • Partner cross‑functionally with Engineering, Product Management, Product Implementation, Operations, and Finance to resolve supplier issues and improve supplier performance.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of tactical buyers responsible for purchase order execution, acknowledgments, expediting, exception management, and supplier follow‑up.
  • Develop the team’s commercial, analytical, ERP, negotiation, and supplier‑management capabilities through structured training.
  • Establish clear roles, priorities, service expectations, and performance measures for the team. Provide regular feedback and hold team members accountable for results.
  • Balance workload, maintain appropriate category and supplier coverage, and ensure backup coverage for each position.
  • Monitor open purchase orders, past‑due commitments, shortages, lead‑time changes, pricing discrepancies, and other exceptions; direct timely resolution and escalation.
  • Promote a culture of ownership, urgency, disciplined follow‑through, continuous improvement, and constructive cross‑functional partnership.
Procurement Performance and Governance
  • Translate demand, inventory, and production requirements into actionable purchasing priorities that support material availability and working‑capital objectives.
  • Partner closely with Strategic Sourcing and Logistics to manage and optimize total landed cost, including purchase price, freight, duties, tariffs, inventory carrying costs, and other supply‑chain expenses.
  • Support new product development, strategic sourcing, cost‑reduction, cost‑avoidance, value‑engineering, and supplier‑consolidation initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with Camco procurement policies, delegated approval limits, supplier onboarding standards, purchase order terms, and documentation requirements.
  • Maintain accurate procurement data, supplier records, trade agreements, pricing, lead times, and purchasing parameters in Microsoft D365.
  • Prepare concise updates for leadership on supplier performance, material risks, purchasing execution, savings, and required decisions.
  • Drive continuous improvement across procurement processes, systems, controls, and cross‑functional handoffs.
Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years of experience leading procurement teams, including direct responsibility for coaching, performance management, work allocation, and team results.
