Job summary

A leading IT staffing firm located in East Hanover, New Jersey, is seeking a Procurement Specialist responsible for supporting strategic sourcing for Indirect and Logistics projects. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of procurement experience, strong negotiation skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Responsibilities include developing a fact base for spend and performance analytics, assisting in supplier negotiations, and collaborating with a North American team. A background in SAP will be an asset.

Qualifications

Prior procurement experience of 5-7 years or equivalent in a related field.
Experience in issuing Requests for Proposal (RFP).
Proven track record of negotiation skills.
Work with little supervision as part of a North American team.

Support a larger category of Strategic Projects within Indirect and Logistics.
Develop and maintain factual bases for spend analysis and performance analytics.
Support the Strategic Sourcing Manager in negotiations and contract analysis.

Job Description

The Procurement Specialist is responsible for supporting a larger category of Strategic Projects within Indirect and Logistics. This position supports the Strategic Sourcing Manager to develop and maintain a fact base (spend cube, market analysis, business needs assessment) and performance analytics (bid events, supplier negotiation and contract analysis) related to assigned categories. The current portfolio includes but is not limited to the following Operating Services, Operating Equipment and Compliance.
