This is an individual-contributor role (typically 5-7 years experience), not a people-manager position. The right person will also help build and tighten the logistics process the company runs on every job.## What You Will Own* -Issue RFQs from project Bills of Materials and Engineering Implementation Packages; consolidate and score quotes on price, lead time, freight, substitutions, warranty, and total landed cost* -Recommend awards and issue accurate POs aligned to engineering packages, approved quotes, budgets, and delivery locations* -Administer the purchasing system; keep PO, quote, vendor, and receiving records current and auditable* -Work with suppliers on pricing terms, specifications, and availability* -Expedite delayed orders; resolve changes, returns, RMAs, and credits* -Coordinate with Project Managers, site leads, warehouse, engineering, and finance* -Track fulfillment from PO acknowledgment through shipping, receiving, kitting, jobsite delivery, and closeout* -Manage long-lead items, backorders, partial shipments, substitutions, and freight exceptions before they hit the schedule* -Process Quick Reaction Items (QRIs) and emergency buys with site leads* -Coordinate receiving, inspection, discrepancy resolution, and staging for field deployment* -Support invoice-to-PO matching and freight claims with finance* -Maintain vendor files, quote packages, PO records, serial/asset data, and warranty documentation* -Build, document, and continuously improve purchasing and logistics processes## Required Qualifications* -High school diploma or equivalent* -5-7 years in purchasing, logistics, or materials management, including building and running processes for an IT and/or AV systems integrator* -Hands-on experience issuing RFQs, consolidating quotes, awarding business, and releasing POs* -Proven ability to track multi-line, multi-vendor fulfillment across the project lifecycle* -Advanced Excel (lookups, pivot tables, status dashboards, quote comparison workbooks)* -Strong written and verbal communication with PMs, site leads, vendors, freight partners, and finance* -Comfort under time pressure without losing documentation or cost control* -High attention to detail: part numbers, revisions, quantities, ship-to addresses, freight terms, receiving discrepancies* -Ability to read a project BOM## Preferred Qualifications* -Government, DoD, or compliance-driven project experience* -Familiarity with Extron, Shure, Crestron, Q-SYS, Biamp, Cisco, displays, racks, cabling, fiber, and AVoIP distribution channels* -Associate or bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or related field* -Experience with integrator ERP / project platforms* -Knowledge of freight modes (parcel, LTL, white-glove), jobsite delivery constraints, and RMA workflows* -CPSM, CPSD, CSCP, CPIM, or comparable credential* -U.S. citizenship or ability to support work on government sites if required by contract## How Success Is MeasuredOn-time material availability, quote-to-PO cycle time, PO accuracy, clean purchasing records, status reporting quality, Quick Reaction Item speed, and documented repeatable processes.## Work EnvironmentConcurrent projects, changing site dates, and vendor lead-time surprises.
