Job summary

Technology Service Corporation Defense Services is seeking an Operations Support Specialist in Washington, DC. The role focuses on procurement, inventory management and logistics for electronic components and RF equipment, coordinating with leadership, vendors and field teams to ensure timely delivery and mission success.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree or equivalent military experience with 5+ years in inventory/procurement, US citizenship with secret clearance, and strong data

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, operations, logistics or related field or equivalent military experience with 5+ years in inventory management, procurement, or logistics.
• US Citizenship with a current secret clearance and ability to obtain TS/SCI.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficient with data analysis, spreadsheets and presenting information to customers.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to interact with customers and peers.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a high-stress, high-speed environment.
• Go-getter mentality; willing to wear many hats and learn new skills.
• Able to lift and/or move 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Logistics & Material Support: prepare, distribute and track materials and equipment to field teams and customers.
• Coordinate shipping, receiving and transportation of materials to customer and project sites.
• Assist in planning for upcoming projects and needs to ensure materials are readily available.
• Inventory Management: maintain, organize and keep accurate records of inventory.
• Track stock levels and proactively order items to prevent shortages.
• Ensure proper storage, labeling and handling of all inventory items.
• Procurement & Vendor Management: source and purchase materials from approved vendors.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and resolve supply chain issues.
• Maintain documentation including packing slips, receipts and government documents.
• Documentation & Reporting: maintain records for supply chain and operations support.
• Generate and share reports on stock levels, usage, shortages.
• Ensure compliance with government policies & standards.
• Work with technicians and engineers to understand technical needs.
• Communicate procurement updates, delays and critical issues with leadership and vendors.
• Support a fast-paced, team-oriented environment to meet challenges.
