Job summary

Northeastern Junior College seeks a Director of Purchasing to lead all college purchasing activities in accordance with Colorado state purchasing requirements. The role oversees procurement, vendor relations, and compliance, with responsibilities including asset control and contract management.

Occasional long hours and in-state travel are expected. Qualifications include purchasing or accounting experience in government settings, strong communication, teamwork, and high ethical standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and control purchasing activities.
• Serve as the single contact with purchasing and vendors.
• Ensure compliance with all State Purchasing Rules.
• Use the CORE system for procurement processes.
• Advise and assist college staff on procurement practices, laws and rules.
• Maintain asset and inventory control system.
• Maintain receiving/warehousing system.
• Assist Vice President with real estate and contract management.
• Administer the Procurement Card Program.
• Other duties as assigned by the Vice President.
