Job summary

Astranis Space Technologies is seeking a Procurement Group Manager to lead procurement for Astranis-designed hardware sourced through contract manufacturers. You will drive supplier performance, oversee end-to-end sourcing, and partner with multiple teams to ensure high-quality, timely materials.

The role requires 5+ years in purchasing/supply chain with at least 2 years in management, plus strong leadership and negotiation skills. Base salary is competitive with equity and robust benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Engineering or Chemistry.
• Master’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or Engineering preferred.
• Expertise in world class procurement operations and driving change while maintaining internal relations.
• Strong knowledge of purchasing practices, contract negotiation, related laws and regulations.
• Supplier scorecard techniques that drive supplier management.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, analytical, and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, document, and execute sourcing strategies to ensure best quality, cost, delivery and service.
• Manage supplier relations and contract compliance with high ethics and conduct.
• Oversee cradle-to-grave process from intent to purchase, onboarding, performance and exit.
• Deliver aggressive cost reduction objectives in partnership with production, engineering, quality, and management.
• Analyze market and delivery conditions for material availability now and in future.
• Work with Production, Supplier Quality and Engineering to develop product specs and source components.
• Identify and evaluate new sources to support plant expansions, new products and sustainability objectives.
