Job summary

OpenAI is seeking a Procurement Enablement Lead in San Francisco to streamline procurement workflows, policies, and guidance across Procurement, Finance, Legal, Security, Privacy, and Enterprise Technology.

You will translate requirements into scalable processes and systems, drive automation and AI-assisted improvements, and lead rollout, training, and change management to support growth.

This role offers relocation assistance and a hybrid schedule with three days in the office.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in Procurement Technology or Operations or Finance Operations.
• Experience with enterprise workflow and transaction systems (Zip, Oracle Fusion, VNDLY, Navan, Brex).
• Deep knowledge of Source-to-Contract, Procure-to-Pay, Travel & Expense, Contingent Workforce processes.
• Proven ability to design, improve, and scale operational workflows and automation.
• Strong analytical skills with data interpretation and reporting for decision-making.
• Experience applying AI tools and GPT-based capabilities to procurement workflows.

Responsibilities

• Partner across multiple functions to optimize procurement intake, routing, approvals, and support across the spend lifecycle.
• Design and improve procurement guidance, workflows, and experiences to reduce friction and improve consistency and controls.
• Translate policies and requirements into clear business requirements for workflows, automation, reporting, and improvements.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Technology to configure improvements across procurement systems (approvals, routing, SLAs, escalation, reporting).
• Identify opportunities to use AI, automation, analytics to reduce manual work and improve service delivery.
• Analyze operational data and stakeholder feedback to identify friction, trends, adoption, and prioritize improvements.
• Build and maintain KPI frameworks and workflow performance insights for prioritization and data-driven decisions.
• Support rollout of new processes and tools: testing, documentation, communications, training, change management.
• Improve data quality and governance across procurement workflows for scalability and audit readiness.
