Job summary

Orion Talent is seeking a Procurement Engineer (Safety and Control Valves) to support our procurement team in securing equipment and services for steam service controls and related valve systems. Ideal candidates have experience in control and safety valves, and can develop supplier networks to meet project goals.

The role offers salary ladders from Level III to Level V with comprehensive benefits and a hybrid work model. A BS in Engineering and 5–15 years of relevant experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or Science.
• Typically 5+ years in engineering or supply chain (Level III).
• Experience with control and safety valves and steam service valves.
• Experience procuring equipment and services.
• Nuclear or highly regulated industry background.
• Basic knowledge of power plant components.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop equipment and service suppliers for a robust supply chain.
• Develop strategic supply chain plans to deliver valves.
• Create project-specific execution plans to meet schedule and cost goals.
• Prepare category plans and negotiate supplier terms and contracts.
• Coordinate with QA to qualify suppliers and define QA requirements.
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues.
