Job summary

Northern Trust is hiring an Associate Consultant for Procurement Engagement within Procurement Operations in the United States. You will support early-stage procurement engagement by reviewing requests, validating details, and routing to the appropriate stakeholders to ensure compliant processing.

You will work with Sourcing, Category Management, Third Party Risk, and business units to improve the intake experience, monitor compliance, and support data tracking and reporting on performance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, supply chain, finance, operations, vendor management, or related functions.
• Procurement/Supply Chain Management designation or related coursework is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Receiving and reviewing procurement requests from internal stakeholders for completeness, accuracy and policy alignment.
• Routing requests to sourcing, procurement, risk, legal, or business stakeholders based on type and urgency.
• Collaborating with Sourcing, Category Management, Third Party Risk and other teams to support intake process.
• Ensuring requests follow procurement policies and risk standards; identifying issues and elevating as needed.
• Documenting issues and contributing to process improvements and standardization.
• Maintaining request data and supporting reporting on key metrics like volume, compliance, response times, and SLA performance.
