Brightline West will connect Las Vegas and Southern California with a high‑speed, electric passenger rail system, reaching speeds of more than 186 mph over 218 miles, taking passengers from Las Vegas to the Greater Los Angeles area twice as fast as the normal drive time.
As a Procurement Director you will strategically lead procurement strategies and solutions for our high‑speed rail infrastructure to ensure alignment with project objectives, in compliance with industry standards and federal regulations.
The Procurement Director leads sourcing and contracting activities across all major procurement categories, drives supplier selection, business award planning, and strategic sourcing initiatives that align with long‑term project and organizational objectives. The role develops and implements procurement strategies that balance cost, quality, compliance, and schedule demands while collaborating with cross‑functional teams and leadership.
The Procurement Director serves as the subject matter expert on federal procurement regulations, specifically 2 CFR 200.318‑327, ensuring full compliance through standardized procurement procedures and documentation. The role manages purchases of goods, services, and equipment—both direct and indirect—optimizes total cost of ownership, oversees the full contract lifecycle, and prepares internal and external reports to meet FSP grand requirements.
The Procurement Director builds and sustains strong cross‑functional relationships, fosters supplier accountability and transparency, and guides internal stakeholders on procurement best practices and compliance. The role also supports and mentors team members, promoting Brightline West’s culture while leading internal partners through procurement and contracting processes.
