Overview

CBRE Procurement Director - Responsible for overseeing procurement function within Property Management, including sourcing and purchasing goods, services, or raw materials. This role supports program, corporate, and client goals.

Responsibilities

• Provide formal supervision to employees, monitor training and development, conduct performance evaluations, and oversee recruiting and hiring.
• Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities, establish work schedules, assign tasks, set and track staff and department deadlines, and mentor as needed.
• Assist with the creation and implementation of company-wide policies, procedures, playbooks, and other organizational materials.
• Enforce sourcing and procurement strategies to support program, corporate, and client goals.
• Develop, communicate, and lead all aspects of local and regional purchasing plans aligned with program, corporate, and client objectives.
• Design and develop purchasing information systems and compile monthly reports on departmental activities, benchmarks, and metrics for senior management.
• Manage annual procurement budget and supplier base of vendors.
• Serve as liaison between the business and client sourcing, and internal departments.
• Resolve vendor disputes and develop organization requirements of goods, services, supplies, and equipment.
• Apply robust understanding of various subject areas, the business, and key factors that influence departmental and cross-functional performance.
• Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values; persuade managers and colleagues to take action guided by business plans.
• Negotiate with external partners, vendors, and customers of divergent interests to reach common goals.
• Identify and solve multi-dimensional, complex, operational, and organizational problems by mobilizing appropriate resources within or outside the department.
• Improve and transform current methods, processes, and standards within the job field.
