Job summary

CBRE seeks a Sourcing Manager in Richmond, VA to lead a team responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing service providers for outsourced services for a large manufacturing client.

The role sits within Procurement, with responsibilities ranging from staff supervision and contract management to strategic supplier engagement and cost optimization. Travel is expected.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • C.P.M., C.P.S.M. or N.A.C.M. certifications or eligibility preferred.
  • Experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance preferred.
  • Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated information and convey performance expectations.
  • Leadership skills to motivate team and improve quality, efficiency, and effectiveness.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong organizational skills with a curious mindset.
  • Advanced math skills for percentages, fractions, and financial calculations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide formal supervision to employees and monitor training and development.
  • Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities and schedules.
  • Mentor and coach as needed and manage deadlines.
  • Draft, review, negotiate, and maintain contracts for goods and services.
  • Review contract terminations, expirations, extensions, and renewals.
  • Manage supplier and contractor certification and conduct site visits.
  • Educate on outsourcing practices and value of CBRE methods.
  • Analyze facility management spend and identify value opportunities.
  • Assist with RTFs, select solutions, and negotiate contracts.
  • Lead by example and model CBRE RISE values in negotiations.
  • Apply cross- discipline knowledge to meet team objectives.
  • Identify and resolve day-to-day issues in processes.

Job description

About the Role

As a CBRE Sourcing Manager, you'll be responsible for managing a team of employees responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing service providers for outsourced services. You will also assist a client or department with the development and execution of sourcing and procurement strategies for a large manufacturing client.

This job is part of the Procurement function. They are responsible for sourcing and purchasing goods, services, or raw materials from vendors and suppliers.

Some travel will be required.

What You’ll Do
  • Provide formal supervision to employees. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.

  • Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Work with business stakeholders, operational shared services team members, and sponsors to develop, coordinate, and execute strategy at local and regional levels.

  • Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.

  • Draft, review, negotiate, and maintain contracts and other business documents in support of the purchase of goods and services.

  • Review the process of contract terminations, expirations, extensions, and renewals. Inform peers and corporate management staff of changes or results.

  • Manage supplier and contractor certification process. Conduct periodic visits to supplier work locations to review vendor performance.

  • Mentor and educate on contemporary outsourcing practices and the value of applying them.

  • Analyze account-wide facility management services spend, suppliers, operations, and statement of works to identify opportunities for value creation.

  • Assist with creating RTFs, selecting solutions, and negotiating. Prepare and maintain contracts with national and regional service providers. Ensure contracts adhere to company standards.

  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence parties of shared interests to reach an agreement. Deal with sensitive issues.

  • Apply knowledge of own discipline and how own discipline integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.

  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues which may or may not be evident in existing systems and processes.

What You’ll Need

  • Leadership skills to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job discipline and department.

  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

  • Extensive organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.

  • Advanced math skills. Ability to calculate difficult figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.

Compensation & Benefits

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Sourcing Manager role is $100,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Sourcing Manager position is $130,000 annually. The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on their skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
