Job summary

Avasant in the Los Angeles area is seeking a recent graduate to join our procurement team as an associate procurement specialist. The role focuses on contract review and sourcing for services and software purchases.

You will develop BI dashboards, perform spend analysis, and support risk management and supplier segmentation. Strong Excel, PowerPoint, and MS-Project skills, plus Japanese language proficiency, are required.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in business, economics or related field.
• Experience creating a business plan with financial analysis, optimization and growth strategies, and risk assessments.
• Knowledge of the market for technologies, software and services related to enterprise transformation.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong interpersonal skills to engage senior executives.
• Demonstrated leadership, project management and business development activities.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and MS-Project.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in reviewing and managing contracts for services and software purchases.
• Analyze contract terms, including software licensing, for alignment with objectives.
• Support negotiations with data-driven insights on pricing, terms, and supplier performance.
• Conduct market research to identify and evaluate service and software suppliers.
• Develop sourcing strategies to optimize costs and supplier performance.
• Collaborate with IT, legal, and other departments to align sourcing activities with business needs.
• Develop and maintain procurement dashboards focusing on software and service spend.
• Provide insights from procurement data to support strategic decisions.
• Identify trends, risks, and opportunities from data and present findings.
