Vallen Distribution, Inc. in Middletown, CT is seeking a Customer Service Representative (CSR) to support procurement and order fulfillment, ensuring price, quality, timing, and reliable supply for customers.

You will perform procurement activities, place requisitions and vendor POs, monitor supplier performance, and communicate status with customers and vendors while upholding SOPs and a professional work environment.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent; 1+ year procurement experience preferred.
• Experience with ERP and Inventory Management software; MS Office proficiency.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; willingness to learn.

Responsabilidades

• Perform procurement activities to meet customer demand (stock, non-stock, or spot buy) in line with purchasing strategies.
• Assess orders to expedite or de-expedite for on-time delivery and place requisitions and vendor purchase orders.
• Research, assess, and recommend vendors or items to meet specifications, pricing, and delivery standards.
• Monitor quality and timeliness of products; coordinate returns or replacements as needed.
• Follow up with vendors on purchase orders and communicate status to customers.
• Resolve supplier issues and nonconformances in accounts payables.
• Identify opportunities for customer cost savings; adhere to SOPs and maintain a professional worksite.
