Job summary

Bowa Construction is seeking a Procurement Coordinator for a 500MW data center project. You will manage procurement tracking, issue POs, coordinate OFE, and ensure on-time delivery of long-lead equipment.

Responsibilities include maintaining logs, coordinating with Preconstruction and Project Executive, tracking deliveries, and supporting commissioning with warranty and turnover packages. Strong communication and proficiency with Procore, Excel, and ERP are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of procurement coordination or supply chain experience on construction projects or industrial manufacturing.
• Experience managing long-lead equipment procurement with lead times over 12 months.
• Proficiency in Procore procurement module, Excel, and ERP systems.
• Strong communication skills for managing vendor relationships and expediting deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the project procurement log tracking all POs, subcontracts, and OFE items from order through delivery.
• Coordinate long-lead equipment procurement with the Preconstruction Manager and Project Executive.
• Issue purchase orders and track acknowledgments, lead time confirmations, and factory schedule updates.
• Manage the OFE list in coordination with the owner's procurement team — track order status, delivery windows, and staging plans.
• Coordinate equipment delivery scheduling with the Site Logistics Superintendent for unloading and staging.
• Interface with vendors and manufacturers on factory inspection visits, FAT scheduling, and shipping logistics.
• Manage the receiving log - document all material deliveries, verify against submittals, and flag discrepancies.
• Track and expedite late or at-risk deliveries; elevate to the Project Manager when schedule is threatened.
• Coordinate vendor on-site installation support scheduling with the relevant superintendent.
• Maintain the commitment log in coordination with the Project Controls Manager.
• Process vendor invoices for payment; verify against PO terms and delivery documentation.
• Coordinate equipment warranty registrations and prepare equipment turnover packages for commissioning.

ROLE OVERVIEW:

The Procurement Coordinator manages procurement tracking, purchase order administration, and owner-furnished equipment (OFE) coordination for the 500MW data center. This role ensures every piece of long-lead equipment and owner-supplied material is ordered on time, tracked through delivery, and received without disruption to the construction schedule.

On a 500MW data center, equipment procurement is a critical path activity from day one. Generator sets, transformers, switchgear, UPS systems, and cooling units have lead times that can exceed 18 months. If procurement is not actively managed, the construction schedule will stall waiting for equipment. The Procurement Coordinator must maintain real-time visibility into every PO and OFE item from order placement through field installation.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5+ years of procurement coordination or supply chain experience on construction projects or industrial manufacturing.
• Experience managing long-lead equipment procurement with lead times over 12 months.
• Proficiency in Procore procurement module, Excel, and ERP systems.
• Strong communication skills for managing vendor relationships and expediting deliveries.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Data center equipment procurement experience (transformers, switchgear, UPS, cooling).
• Experience with OFE coordination in a GC or owner's representative role.
• Familiarity with import/export logistics and international equipment sourcing.
