Procurement & Contracts Specialist

San Antonio, TX

Contract Position

$40.92-$50.07/Hour

Responsibilities:

  • Support supplier contract management by integrating program, customer, product, and in-service strategies into sourcing and negotiation efforts.

  • Develop and execute contractual documents and binding agreements, including pricing and terms and conditions.

  • Manage supply and demand logistics, supplier schedules, quality, delivery, and financial performance.

  • Lead and implement supplier performance improvement initiatives and incorporate results into future procurement strategies.

  • Mitigate risk by managing issues and identifying opportunities across the contract lifecycle.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and typically 6+ years of related work experience, or a Master’s degree with 4+ years of related experience, or 10+ years of equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.

  • 3+ years of experience in Supplier Management, Procurement, and/or Supply Chain practices.

  • 3+ years of experience interpreting and negotiating contract terms and conditions.

  • 3+ years of experience working with U.S. Department of Defense contracts.

  • 3+ years of experience working with FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulations).

  • 3+ years of experience working with various contract types (e.g., Time & Materials, Firm Fixed Price, Cost Plus).

  • 3+ years of experience or formal training in Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA) compliance.

  • Preferred:

    • Bachelor’s degree or higher.

    • 3+ years of experience in Contracts & Pricing or as a Purchasing Agent/Buyer.
