Job summary

Jobtailor seeks an experienced trainer to instruct state procurement and contract management courses in Tallahassee. You will serve as an instructor for the Bureau of Professional Development and handle certification rosters for compliance and education initiatives.

You will train other state employees, facilitate courses on procurement, contract management, and negotiation, and support the unit’s communication goals through presentations and outreach.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience instructing or facilitating classes.
• Experience delivering excellent customer service.
• Knowledge of State of Florida purchasing statutes and rules.
• Possession of a valid Florida driver’s license.
• Ability to lift boxes/materials that may weigh over 30 pounds.
• Ability to travel overnight.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in business-related field.
• Knowledge of Florida Statutes Chapter 287 or Chapter 215.
• Certifications: FCCM, FCCN, PMP.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an instructor for the Bureau of Professional Development and Communications within the Division of State Purchasing.
• Serve as a trainer for other state governmental entities’ employees in procurement or contract management.
• Facilitate instructor-led training courses on procurement, contract management, and negotiation.
• Manage certification rosters and databases.
• Assist in presentations and education to support the unit’s communications goals.
