Job summary

Illinois Tollway is seeking a Contract Specialist to provide confidential administrative support to the Procurement Department. The role covers Purchasing Services, Contract Services and Contract Compliance from pre-award through completion, ensuring compliance with the Illinois Procurement Code, state laws, and Tollway policies.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma (bachelor's preferred), at least two years of admin experience in a large organization, and strong Microsoft Office

Qualifications

• Requires a minimum of two (2) years of progressively responsible administrative work experience in a large organization.
• Procurement and compliance knowledge is required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist with compliance aspects of procurement and contracting processes.
• Ensure tasks are completed on time and in compliance with policies and regulations.
• Maintain essential relationships with staff, offerors, vendors, and management.
• Coordinate documentation control activities and ensure accuracy of project files.
• Prepare submissions and disclosures to external entities and FOIA requests.
• Enter data into Tollway systems and support scheduling and coordination tasks.
