Oxoid Remel Microbiology, part of Astorg's healthcare portfolio, is seeking a Procurement & Change Management Specialist to help sustain supply and drive improvements in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

In this role you will procure raw materials, manage supplier relationships, lead change-control activities, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality, regulatory compliance, and timely delivery.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Life Sciences, or related field preferred.
  • Experience in procurement, supply chain, manufacturing, quality systems, or another regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

  • Procure assigned raw materials and components to support uninterrupted production.
  • Manage supplier purchase orders, confirmations, deliveries, and expediting activities.
  • Support site Appropriation Requests (ARs) and project-related procurement activities.
  • Monitor supplier performance and escalation delivery, quality, or capacity issues as needed.
  • Lead and manage procurement-related RME, RMS, MOC, and NDR activities from initiation through implementation.
  • Coordinate and maintain supplier documentation to support supplier onboarding, material changes, and ongoing supplier management.
  • Track project milestones, risks, timelines, and documentation related to supplier and material change initiatives.
  • Support procurement CAPA investigations, audit response, corrective action tracking, and continuous improvement initiatives.

The Procurement & Change Management Specialist supports the Procurement and Supply Chain organization through a combination of purchasing responsibilities and coordination of supplier and material change initiatives. Working closely with cross-functional teams you will ensure supplier and material changes are effectively planned, implemented, and documented while maintaining continuity of supply and supporting operational, quality, regulatory, and business objectives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment to support our mission.

Key Responsibilities
  • Procurement
    • Procure assigned raw materials and components to support uninterrupted production.
    • Manage supplier purchase orders, confirmations, deliveries, and expediting activities.
    • Support site Appropriation Requests (ARs) and project-related procurement activities.
    • Monitor supplier performance and escalation delivery, quality, or capacity issues as needed.
  • Procurement Change Management
    • Lead and manage procurement-related RME, RMS, MOC, and NDR activities from initiation through implementation.
    • Facilitate reoccurring RME meeting and track associated action items and project timelines.
    • Present procurement updates and key milestones during RME, MOC, and Value Stream Planning meetings.
    • Partner with Strategic Sourcing on alternate material evaluations, supplier qualification activities, sourcing savings, and supply risk mitigation initiatives.
    • Coordinate and maintain supplier documentation to support supplier onboarding, material changes, and ongoing supplier management.
    • Track project milestones, risks, timelines, and documentation related to supplier and material change initiatives.
    • Support procurement CAPA investigations, audit response, corrective action tracking, and continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Identify opportunities to improve procurement processes, documentation (SOPs), and supplier change management workflows.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience
  • Experience in procurement, supply chain, manufacturing, quality systems, or another regulated manufacturing environment.

Excellent organizational, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize competing deadlines, and drive initiatives to successful completion in a fast-paced environment.

Familiarity with change control, raw material specifications, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess supply risks and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.

Experience working with ERP systems (SAP preferred), with practical understanding of MRP principles.

Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, macros).

Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma) preferred.

APICS certification (e.g., CSCP, CPIM) is a plus.
