Job summary

Busch Vacuum Solutions is seeking a Buyer II – 3rd Party/Standards at its U.S. headquarters in Virginia Beach, VA. The role manages externally sourced parts and services, supports production needs, negotiates terms, and maintains supplier performance within ERP/MRP-driven demand.

Targeted compensation ranges from $77,000 to $85,000 annually, depending on qualifications. This direct-hire position requires an Associate’s degree (Bachelor’s preferred) and 4–6 years of manufacturing purchasing

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s preferred in supply chain or business.
• 4–6 years of purchasing or supply chain experience in manufacturing.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• ERP system proficiency required (SAP preferred).
• APICS CPIM or CSCP preferred.
• Lean or Six Sigma credentials is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review and convert MRP requisitions into POs for third-party vendors.
• Ensure pricing, part numbers, delivery dates, and supplier information accuracy.
• Follow up with suppliers to confirm receipt, shipment, and fulfillment status.
• Monitor open orders and expedite as necessary to support production schedules.
• Collaborate with planning, receiving, quality, AP to resolve PO/invoicing issues.
• Maintain ERP records, lead times, and pricing for assigned suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with purchasing policies and approval workflows.
• Negotiate standard pricing, payment terms, and delivery conditions within defined parameters.
• Support cost reduction initiatives by sourcing alternative suppliers.
• Participate in supplier onboarding and data accuracy reviews.
