Job summary

Venture Hire Group is partnering with a growing aerospace and defense manufacturer to hire a Buyer who will manage purchasing in a low-volume, high-mix environment and ensure materials arrive when needed to support critical programs.

You will build supplier relationships, negotiate pricing and terms, prepare purchase orders, and monitor market trends while collaborating with internal teams to keep production moving.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of purchasing processes and inventory control.
• Strong organizational and analytical/problem-solving skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication and supplier relations.

Responsibilities

• Purchase goods, materials, and services to meet cost, quality, and delivery targets.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders and schedules.
• Follow up with suppliers to address delivery issues and communicate potential shortages or delays.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and supplier terms to achieve cost savings.
• Coordinate with internal departments and suppliers to support new projects and ongoing operations.
• Analyze purchasing costs, monitor market trends, and prepare reports.
• Identify opportunities to improve purchasing processes and supplier performance.

With major new contracts driving growth, this is an opportunity to join a team building products for aerospace and defense applications and play a direct role in keeping production moving.

You’ll manage a variety of purchasing needs in a low-volume, high-mix manufacturing environment - building supplier relationships, negotiating competitive pricing, and ensuring materials arrive when needed to support customer programs.

What You’ll Do
