Job description

Overview

Tarkett is seeking a Procurement Automation & Operations Specialist to serve as the automation engineering and analytics owner within Tarkett North America’s Strategic Procurement function.

Responsibilities

• Serve as backup to the Procurement Operations & Process Improvement Specialist on PR/PO execution, covering overflow, absence, and surge volume across all procurement categories.
• Own automation engineering using Power Automate, RPA (Precisely Automate Studio, UiPath), AI Builder, Copilot Studio, and BOT solutions; design, build, validate, deploy, and sustain solutions for high‑friction P2P workflows.
• Document current state, design solutions, conduct UAT, deploy, and monitor bots; maintain ongoing bot monitoring and maintenance.
• Identify automation opportunities from daily operations and propose structured solutions for prioritization.
• Integrate AI and machine‑learning capabilities (document intelligence, NLP, AI‑assisted decision logic) with RPA bots to handle unstructured data and exception logic.
• Support Celonis‑driven improvement initiatives by providing transaction context and executing corrective process actions.
• Contribute to digital transformation initiatives: document current state, maintain SOP and process map library on SharePoint, and support platform deployment.
• Monitor P2P KPI dashboards, surface exception trends and performance anomalies, and report findings to the Process Improvement lead.
• Provide SAP/SRM subject‑matter expertise on procurement master data, including purchasing info records, outline agreements, and supplier setup coordination.
• Maintain the Tarkett SharePoint Procurement site, MS Teams procurement files, and supplier contract storage system.
• Own and produce the monthly procurement reporting package: spend analytics, savings tracker, price impact, PPI, and market intelligence outputs for leadership.
• Own the procurement savings tracker: design, build, and maintain the authoritative record of captured and validated savings, and produce regular savings reports.
• Track and report price impact and PPI movements, and integrate PPI data into market intelligence and savings validation methodology.
• Compile and maintain market intelligence: aggregate external category data, pricing indices, and supplier market inputs on a regular cadence.
• Own the monthly Finance alignment call: prepare materials, present savings and price impact data, and maintain a clear record of commitments and follow‑up items.
• Perform other duties as required.

Key Skills

• Solid procurement knowledge and hands‑on experience with SAP/SRM.
• Power Automate proficiency with proven build and deployment examples.
• Experience with RPA platforms (Precisely Automate Studio, UiPath) and full bot lifecycle management.
• Experience with AI‑powered automation (Microsoft AI Builder, Copilot Studio, similar).
• Integration experience combining RPA with document intelligence, NLP, or ML‑based decision logic.
• Process mining experience (Celonis or similar).
• Power BI dashboard development or monitoring.
• ReadSoft PDAP or comparable invoice workflow platform.
• SQL experience for data extraction and analysis.
• Advanced Excel skills (Macros, Power Query, Power Pivot).

Experience & Education Required

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 3+ years of hands‑on ERP procurement experience (SAP preferred) with fully autonomous P2P execution from day one.
• Power Automate proficiency required from day one with demonstrable examples of builds and deployments.
• Disciplined process documentation practice – SOPs and process maps completed before changes are made, maintained in SharePoint.
• Proven track record completing automation or improvement projects through full deployment and sustainment.
• Strong analytical capability: Excel proficiency, data pattern identification, procurement KPI interpretation.
• Ability to work independently.

Experience Preferred

• Depth in RPA platforms (Precisely Automate Studio or UiPath) with full lifecycle management.
• AI‑powered automation experience with Microsoft AI Builder, Copilot Studio, or equivalent.
• BOT + AI integration: combining RPA with document intelligence, NLP, or ML‑based decision logic.
• Celonis or process mining tool experience for process analysis and conformance checking.
• Power BI dashboard development or monitoring experience.
• ReadSoft PDAP or comparable invoice workflow and exception management platform.
• Manufacturing, distribution, or multi‑site shared services background.
• SQL experience for data extraction and analysis.
• Advanced Excel skills including Macros, Power Query, and Power Pivot for data transformation and analysis.
