Job summary

TransGrid Energy is seeking a Procurement Associate to lead subcontract buyouts, manage RFPs, and administer complex contracts for renewable energy projects in California. You will coordinate owner-purchased equipment, project materials, and services, while ensuring cost-effective procurement and supplier performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum 4 years of progressive experience in Construction Contracts Management and/or Procurement.
• Minimum 3 years of experience supporting procurement, equipment/material purchasing, subcontracting, or contracts for utility-scale renewable energy, construction, or other complex infrastructure projects
• Preferred experience in Solar or Renewable Energy
• Strong working knowledge of contract management and procurement processes
• Change order management experience
• Ability to independently manage assigned procurement activities in a fast-paced, professional, team environment with limited supervision
• Ability to Multitask
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Confidence and ability to interact effectively with people at all levels of the organization and take increasing ownership of cross-functional procurement activities
• Computer literacy with an advance knowledge on Microsoft office including but not limited to Excel
• Experience working with ERP or procurement systems
• SAP Experience
• Demonstrated potential to grow into a procurement management role through strong ownership, judgment, communication, and stakeholder management
• Customer service skills including experience in conducting Supplier reviews and evaluation, and maintaining good business relationships
• Able to identify, investigate and solve problem that might arise with order and in timely manner

Responsibilities

• Lead the RFP process from issuance to contract execution.
• Prepare bid evaluations and bid analyses for Management review.
• Support Owner-Purchased Equipment (OPE) and project materials.
• Assist with development and administration of various procurement agreements.
• Monitor compliance with contractual and project requirements.
• Coordinate and maintain Prevailing Wage Act (PWA) and ITC documentation.
• Support project insurance coordination and related records.
• Maintain procurement and contract records for audits and reporting.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize procurement activities.
