Somafina in Layton, UT is seeking a Junior Buyer to manage procurement for vitamins and supplements. The role focuses on sourcing materials, negotiating favorable terms, and ensuring timely PO confirmations while maintaining supplier relationships.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in business or related field (preferred) and 5–7 years in supply chain or procurement. Growth opportunities exist in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred but not required.
• 5–7 years of experience within supply chain or procurement preferred.
• Process-oriented with strong collaboration across departments.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• High integrity and strong sense of urgency and results-oriented.

Responsabilités

• Oversees purchasing of materials and services, ensuring quality, quantity, delivery date, and cost.
• Negotiates terms and conditions with suppliers.
• Reviews system-generated MRP messages daily and ensures PO confirmations within 48 hours.
• Maintains PO updates and notes for organization-wide clarity.
• Maintains system data for product categories, including pricing, lead times, MOQ, and supplier information.
• Conducts supplier visits to build network, negotiate costs and lead times, and coordinate stocking programs.
• Provides supplier scorecard reviews and coordinates with accounting on payments.
