Job summary

Walgreens is seeking an entry level procurement professional to support end-to-end category management at local, regional, and occasionally global levels. The role emphasizes developing basic procurement skills through progressively challenging assignments and collaborating with stakeholders across functions.

The position involves category analytics, RFx activities, cost program support, database management, and contract administration within a dynamic retail pharmacy environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree completed by program year
• GPA 3.0 or above
• Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Excel (SUM, charts, sorting, etc.)
• Intermediate level skill in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word (themes, layouts, headers/footers)

Responsibilities

• Provide benchmarks, financial analysis, and spend analysis for assigned units
• Identify opportunities and develop business cases aligned with internal units
• Track project plans, goals, strategy, resources, and timelines
• Lead RFx activities for medium to low value spend and prepare RFx packages
• Collaborate with Accounting, Finance, Tax, and other stakeholders to support procurement processes
• Perform operational procurement and transactional activities for assigned units
• Support supplier due diligence and onboarding with Category Managers
