Compensation

Salary Range: For Reston only, $159,700 - $231,000 annually (based on market data; final salary determined by education, experience, and qualifications).

Location & Telework

Work Locations: Houston, TX and Reston, VA. Telework Type: Full‑time Office/Project.

Job Summary

In this role, you will manage a project’s Procurement and Contracts operation and its assigned personnel to establish and implement the procurement and subcontract planning, acquisition, order administration, materials management, and delivery of goods and services. Your team will execute the project Supply Chain plan, ensuring monitoring of safety, quality, cost, and performance and that all contractual duties and obligations are met for each purchase order and subcontract.

Responsibilities

• Participate with the project team on a large‑sized project in defining and developing the scope of work, and in preparing and coordinating Supply Chain plans, procedures, schedules, estimates, forecasts, and budgets; or manage project Supply Chain (procurement and/or subcontracts) functional personnel in all operations for a small to medium sized project.
• Identify opportunities for revenue enhancement, schedule relief, and claim avoidance and take actions to protect Bechtel's interests and improve performance.
• Ensure monitoring of safety, quality, cost, and performance and that all contractual duties and obligations are met by all parties for each purchase order and subcontract.

Education & Experience Requirements

• Bachelor's or master's degree (or international equivalent) and 13‑15 years of relevant experience; or 17‑19 years of relevant work experience.

Required Knowledge & Skills

• Extensive experience in Procurement and/or Contracts Management.
• Preference for experience on EPC Projects with the formation and management of agreements for power island equipment on combined cycle power plants or other power generation facilities.
• Extensive experience in preparation of commercial terms and conditions for agreements of high risk or complexity, ensuring that requirements of the prime contract are incorporated.
• Extensive experience in project setup, including building a team, developing project‑specific templates, and developing project execution strategy.
• Demonstrated skills in developing and upskilling team members, working and communicating effectively with all levels of project functional groups.
• Knowledge of major power plant equipment and the key interfaces.
• Extensive experience collaborating with cross‑functional teams such as Project Controls, Engineering, Health Safety and Environment, Sustainability, Quality and Construction to achieve project goals.
• Understanding when and how to raise issues to Senior Management and Legal.
