First Citizens Bank is offering a Global Procurement Services internship in a hybrid role based in Raleigh, NC. The program focuses on procurement operations, data analytics, and process improvement, with a special AI-centric project and cross-functional collaboration across teams.

You will develop Excel and PowerPoint analyses, participate in leadership briefings, and present outcomes to stakeholders. The internship runs May 24, 2027 to July 30, 2027 and includes mentorship to navigate the bank

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and 1 year of experience.
• Currently enrolled at an accredited collegiate institution (during the time of the summer program).
• Ability to work 40 hours per week during the duration of the program.

Responsibilities

• Support procurement initiatives focused on process improvement, operational efficiency and spend management.
• Support an AI focused project designed to identify procurement optimization opportunities, automate manual analysis or improve visibility into spend behavior and trends.
• Apply reasonable AI practices including effective prompting, validating outputs, understanding limitations and protecting sensitive information.
• Develop analysis in Excel and PowerPoint presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to leadership.
• Be part of a dynamic team with interesting projects.
• Accountabilities can include research, analytics, projects, strategy, process review and improvement, as well as technology enhancements and support.
• Attend professional development sessions, informational sessions, networking and community service events.
• Have a dedicated manager and program manager to help you navigate the bank and the internship program.
• Be assigned a project, designed to improve a specific process or solve a problem that you will present at the close of the internship.
• Prepare a wrap-up presentation to be shared with the division leader and other key stakeholders in the company to outline your accomplishments and experience during the internship.
