Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Procurement Analyst (Level 5) to join our dynamic team in Hazelwood, Missouri. The Boeing Company is seeking a Senior Principal Procurement Analyst (Level 5) to lead enterprise-level procurement strategies, advanced data analytics, and supply chain optimization initiatives for Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS). In this expert role, you will define and deploy complex sourcing strategies, direct cross‑functional integration across defense and space programs, and resolve high‑impact supply chain vulnerabilities. You will act as a primary subject matter authority, guiding executive leadership on macro‑level supplier performance, risk mitigation, federal regulatory compliance, and defense policy frameworks.

Position Responsibilities
  • Leads and oversees the development and deployment of process management plans and activities
  • Establishes strategy for new processes and tools related to the design, planning and deployment of enterprise-wide projects/programs
  • Reviews contractual documents and consults with stakeholders
  • Oversees efforts to mitigate risk and resolve issues related to processes, programs, projects and procurement transactions
  • Provides guidance on export issues and material transfers
  • Leads and oversees procurement plans for supply chain integration and procurement analysis
Key Position Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership: Define, design, and deploy enterprise-wide procurement and process management strategies across multiple defense programs, military hardware platforms, or global defense supply chains.
  • Advanced Data & Analytics: Oversee the extraction, analysis, and synthesis of large‑scale procurement data to forecast defense supply/demand trends, evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs), and drive executive decision‑making.
  • Risk & Issue Management: Lead complex risk assessments, establish macro‑level risk mitigation plans for critical components, and resolve severe supplier or defense operational bottlenecks.
  • Cross‑Functional Integration: Partner seamlessly with Defense Engineering, Manufacturing, Mission Assurance, Finance, and Legal to align procurement plans with military contract milestones and business goals.
  • Policy & Compliance Oversight: Ensure strict adherence to company procedures, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (FAR/DFARS) requirements.
  • Supplier Optimization: Analyze high‑level defense supplier financial stability, delivery cadence, and military‑grade quality metrics to spearhead continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Executive Communication: Author and present high‑level briefings, strategic sourcing recommendations, and change‑management status reports to senior company leadership and government stakeholders.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Shift: 1st shift.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. (An Interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post Start is required.)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Operations, or a related field.
  • More than 10+ years of related work experience in procurement, defense contract administration, or aerospace supply chain management analysis.
  • More than 10+ years of knowledge of FAR/DFARS clauses, ITAR compliance, and defense acquisition mechanics.
  • More than 10+ years of advanced proficiency in enterprise ERP systems (such as SAP) and business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • More than 10+ years of demonstrated history of leading large, complex, cross‑functional projects and managing major defense supplier relationships.
  • More than 10+ years of problem‑solving, analytical, and executive‑level presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills & Experience)
  • Current, active U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance or higher.
  • Master’s degree or advanced professional certification (e.g., APICS CSCP/CPIM, CPSM).
  • More than 10+ years of domain expertise within the defense aerospace, military hardware, or heavy defense manufacturing industries.
  • More than 10+ years of experience with major digital transformations or the implementation of next‑generation enterprise defense tracking systems.

Typical Education/Experience: Typically 15 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.

Travel: Position may require travel up to 15% of the time.

Summary pay range: $138,550 - $171,150
