Job summary

Source One is seeking a Procurement Associate to support our client's Procurement Operations Group in Hicksville, NY. This hybrid role covers planning, sourcing, contract development, and administration to ensure policy compliance.

The ideal candidate has 4–5 years in procurement and supply chain, strong written and verbal communication, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel. A high school diploma is required; a bachelor's degree is preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Procure services and/or materials per the client’s needs.
• Plan procurement, source, contract development and administration.
• Prepare bid packages, coordinate pre-bid meetings, evaluate bids, negotiate terms.
• Negotiate supplier claims and back-charges with guidance as needed.
• Foster process improvement, manage client relationships and communicate contracts.
• Know sourcing process, construction procurement, project management and contract law.

Source One is a consulting services company and we’re currently looking for the following individual to work as a consultant with our direct client, a regional energy and utility company in Hicksville, NY.

No Third-Party, No Corp to Corp, No Sponsorship Now, Future or Current Temporary Authorization

Title: Procurement Associate

Hybrid, 1 day per week onsite (Mon-Fri, 40 hours)

Contract Duration: 12 months, with likely extension

Pay Rate: up to $43.35 per hour (w2)

Responsibilities:

• Procurement Analyst is responsible for procuring services and/ormaterials consistent with the needs of our client's Procurement Operations Group.
• Procurement Analyst is responsible for accurate procurement planning, innovative sourcing, contract development and contract administration while maintaining compliance with enterprise procurement policies and procedures.
• This position is an individual contributor role that initiates and coordinates procurement activities which include preparation of bid packages, conducting pre-bid meetings, evaluating bids, negotiating terms & conditions, issue contracts, amendments, purchase orders and change orders as required.
• The Procurement Analyst independently negotiates and settles supplier claims and back-charges with guidance provided as needed.
• Additional responsibilities include fostering and implementing process improvement initiatives, client relationship management, communicating contractual commitments, and representing our client in the external marketplace.
• Procurement Analyst must have general knowledge of the sourcing process, prior experience in construction procurement, project management and contract law.
